Jurisdiction

Collection and Examination cases are generally issued to IRS district
offices based on a taxpayer's last known address. Taxpayers who
have moved, or their representatives with a properly filed power of
attorney, may request a case transfer to another IRS district office or
jurisdiction. To request a transfer, notify the District Collection or
Examination Division.
